Brian Posnanski is a senior public relations and marketing communications executive with a strong background in corporate communications.  A veteran of some of the country’s leading public relations agencies, Mr. Posnanski offers a broad range of expertise in strategic public relations planning, marketing communications and media relations.

Mr. Posnanski’s expertise extends across several industry sectors, including consumer technology, telecommunications and marketing.  Working for the last few years under his own company, BPR Communications, Mr. Posnanski devoted much of his efforts to assisting emerging small and mid-sized companies through strategic communications planning and a multi-faceted approach to media relations.  Key programs he has developed include a comprehensive communications program that positioned St. Louis-based Jerome Group as a leading 1to1 marketing and digital printing specialist (and which helped prepare the company for its acquisition by Fiserv Corp.).  Mr. Posnanski also has brought his heavy telecommunications experience to Charter Communications, the nation’s third-largest cable company, with a grass-roots PR and marketing campaign for its Midwestern states.  And, for Golfsmith, the leading national golf retailer, he helped put in place a comprehensive corporate communications and national media function that ushered the company toward its Initial Public Offering earlier this year.

Prior to consulting, Mr. Posnanski served as an account supervisor for The Weber Group and its parent company, Weber Shandwick, in New York, where he helped manage some of the agency’s largest clients.  He served as a member of the public relations team that laid the communications groundwork for Avaya, the enterprise networking spin-off of Lucent, and managed media relations for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young’s e-retailing and telecommunications practices.  For software giant Computer Associates, Mr. Posnanski helped manage corporate communications efforts, including national media outreach, in support of the company’s global branding and advertising campaign.

Mr. Posnanski began his career at the St. Louis headquarters of Fleishman-Hillard in 1994 and worked for many of the firm’s flagship clients, including SBC Communications, Dell Computer, Caterpillar, Boatmen’s Bancshares (now Bank of America) and Textron.  From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Posnanski was located on site as a member of SBC’s Corporate Communications team, and helped to manage media relations for corporate announcements, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory affairs and product marketing.

In addition to media and marketing communications, Mr. Posnanski has wide experience in media training, reputation research, multimedia production and employee communications.

Mr. Posnanski earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame.
