Grassroots Marketing for a Cable
Giant
Charter Communications, the third largest cable operator
in the United States, has hundreds of thousands of customers
that live outside of its major metropolitan market areas. To
reach these customers in the Midwest, Gravitas works closely
with the Charter marketing team to guide grassroots public
relations efforts. Marketing new product launches is the primary
objective, and no task is more important than the ongoing rollout
of Charter Telephone, for which Gravitas devised a multi-phase
campaign aimed at civic and business leaders, in addition to
the media.
In addition to product marketing, the Charter-Gravitas
team also focuses on community relations initiatives such as
Cable in the Classroom, the cable industry’s national
educational initiative; Charter’s annual holiday toy
drive; and the Charter Collegiate Scholarship Program, which
benefits high school seniors.
