Charter Communications Launches Charter
HDTV in Osage Beach
ST. LOUIS, MO – (October 31, 2007) - Charter announced
today the launch of Charter High Definition Service™,
or Charter HDTV, in Osage Beach. A total of 19 Charter HDTV
channels will now be offered in crystal clear High Definition
including HBO, Showtime, HD Theater, ESPN, ESPN2, FSN Midwest
HD, HDNET, HDNET Movies and TNT.
“Customers love our high-definition programming,” said Steve
Trippe, vice president and general manager for Charter Communications. “Charter
has developed a lineup that gives customers an unmatched TV viewing experience,
whether it’s for their favorite movies or sporting events.”
Charter has been experiencing strong demand for channels
broadcast in HDTV, and believes the demand will continue
to grow over the next several years.
“At all times, our top priority is to provide our customers with the
highest-quality services and the broadest range of programming options – in
short, greater value,” Trippe continued.
“Now and in the future, as networks produce more and more HD content,
we will be ready to provide it to our customers,” stated Trippe. “In
addition, Charter customers concerned about the February 2009 broadcast TV
conversion to digital need not worry if they are Charter customers. We will
do it for them and it will work on any TV in the house.”
